The new Pixar/Disney animated film grosses $186.2 million worldwide in its premiere.

Finding Dory, the new Pixar/Disney film and sequel to Searching for Nemor, it has achieved the best premiere in history for an animated film. Throughout its first weekend, the feature film, which arrives this Wednesday in Spain, has earned 186.2 million dollars worldwide. In the United States alone, the collection amounted to 136.2 million dollars, which places the film in the second best historical debut in the month of June, after Jurassic World.

The film also holds the record for highest grossing on its first day of release in the United States ($54.9 million).

In China, Finding Dory It has achieved the best opening of a Pixar title with 17.5 million dollars in revenue while in Australia it is the best Disney / Pixar launch with 7.6 million. The animated film has been number one in 32 other markets where it has been released.

Finding Dory reunites our forgetful blue fish, Dory, with her friends Nemo and Marlin as they search for answers about their past.

PiperDirected by Andrew Stanton (Finding Nemo, Wall-E) and produced by Lindsey Collins (co-producer of Wall-E), the film premieres alongside Piper, the new short from Pixar Animation Studios. Directed by Alan Barillaro and produced by Marc Sondheimer, the short film tells the story of a baby sandpiper (a species of bird common in humid areas) that ventures out of the nest for the first time to search for food on the coast. The only problem is that the food is buried under the sand on the shore, where the wet, cold and terrifying waves arrive. With the help of a new friend, the little bird dives in hopes of overcoming his fears and filling his belly.
