La brasileña Tv Liberal migra a HD de mano de la tecnología Grass Valley
This transition will allow TV Liberal to produce both programs and news more quickly and efficiently.
TV Liberal, affiliated with the Brazilian network TV Globo, has chosen to migrate from SD to HD with the help of technology from Grass Valley. This transition to HD will allow TV Liberal to produce both programs and news more quickly and efficiently.
The update includes improvements in its infrastructure and broadcast capacity to meet its growing demands and those of TV Globo.
Fernando Nascimento, executive director at TV Liberal, recognizes that “Grass Valley's solution offers us operational excellence and reliability, while giving us flexibility to grow.”
Denis Brandão, technology director of TV Liberal, added that “we will have a new efficient workflow that offers better production and quality in news, thus improving our agile and competitive position in the market.”
The heart of the new installation is an Nvision 8280 matrix, an NV9000 control system, a K-Frame S-series mixer (with support for both 1080p and 4K), two Kaleido-X and Kaleido-MX multiviewers, two storage systems K2 SAN for playout and K2 Summit 3G for program production.
Tv Liberal has also integrated GV Guardian monitors, eight CopperHead 3200 systems capable of simultaneously transporting analog and digital signals, as well as a wide variety of multiprocessors, embedders, and fiber systems.
This Brazilian broadcaster already had several K2 servers and Grass Valley SDI routers, ensuring future 4K operations over a 10 Gbps IP network.
