Brainstorm's eStudio real-time 3D rendering engine allowed in the Andalusian Elections Special on TVE the generation and broadcast of all graphics with real-time updating and presentation in augmented reality mode.

TVE Special Andalusian Elections

TVE Special Andalusian ElectionsIn the first electoral event of the year, Spanish Television deployed an extensive device last night in which more than a hundred professionals covered the elections to the Parliament of Andalusia.

From a few minutes before eight in the afternoon, the closing time of the polling stations, TVE aired a Special presented by Pilar G. Muñiz and Ana Blanco.

During this special programming, in addition to the live connections with the party headquarters to find out the candidates' reactions, graphics played a fundamental role.

For the first time, Spanish Television used augmented reality to present minute-by-minute data in high definition.

TVE Special Andalusian ElectionsVicente Gil-Dávila, director of the Andalusian Elections Special, had a total of eleven cameras for this program that offered 360º shots of the set.

Some of these signals were used to form the augmented reality developed by TVE staff on the eStudio real-time 3D rendering engine. Brainstorm. This solution, in its version 12 (the most recent), served as the basis for the generation and emission of all graphs with real-time updating of the count data.

The eStudio platform thus made it possible to embed 3D graphics in real time before the debate table in which several journalists participated, achieving a realistic and spectacular effect by showing the bar graphs, the composition of the chamber or the distribution of the vote by provinces on a virtual map of Andalusia.
