Viz Weather 2.5 adds social media and live cameras
New support for live cameras allows the presenter to select and access the signal with live streaming.
Viz Weather, the weather information platform for Vizrt, stands out for its possibilities to integrate meteorological data from external providers, immediately displaying graphics and animations on the screen.
Now, version 2.5 adds support for the 64-bit Viz Engine, facilitating complex visualizations in weather programs.
Viz Weather 2.5 includes new tools such as Vizrt RSS Streamer technology, which is used in Vizrt's Social TV solution to search and classify content on social networks for later broadcast. This technology will allow Viz Weather to receive, filter, sort and display data on severe weather conditions, such as caution and danger, local storm reports, live radar, and lightning strike reports.
Using RSS Streamer, the presenter will also be able to display content derived from social media such as photographs or videos on the screen.
The new support for live cameras will also allow the weather presenter to select and view live streaming from cameras such as EarthTV or their own sources. This is done in a simple and intuitive interface.
