'Los Serrano' land in the United States
Mike Scully and Julie Scully, executive producers and writers of 'The Simpsons', will be in charge of writing the pilot of the adaptation of the popular Globomedia and Telecinco series for the US market.
Mike Scully and Julie Scully, executive producers and writers of The Simpsons, will write the scripts for the pilot of the adaptation of The Serranos that Fox Broadcast Company and 20Th Century Fox will produce in the United States.
Daniel Écija, president of Globomedia, the production company that produced the comedy starring Antonio Resines and Jesús Bonilla for Telecinco last decade, remaining on the air for five years and 147 episodes, will also be executive producer of this version. For the production of Los Serrano in the United States, Globomedia has partnered with Ombra Films, a company run by Jaume Collet Serra and Juan Solá, who will share the executive production with Laura Fernández Espeso, from Globomedia.
The series portrays, combining melodrama and humor, the relationships that arise when a widower with children reunites with his youthful love, a separated woman with daughters, and they decide to start a life together. Since its premiere, The Serranos It has been sold to 40 countries, adapting with local versions in nine markets.
