This is the famous artist Luis Redondo, protagonist of the short film Elena sleeping' by director Jorge Vallejo, which jumps to small screens in the form of an app. The production company E2E4 Media and the web platform AppEditions have opted for this format to make its world premiere.

The script emerged when the director met the actor and filmmaker Alber Ponte, who played the main role, completely written and designed to suit him. The painter he plays is going through a crisis, both emotional and pictorial, after the death of his wife Elena, played by Violena Casatini. Jorge Vallejo has chosen to choose an app to disseminate his work internationally with a minimum cost. The short film has been downloaded more than 700 times during its first days around the world: in Russia, Turkey, India, Egypt, South Africa, China, Thailand, Vietnam, Japan, Mexico, Brazil and Colombia, among others. “It is a strange feeling that my work has been seen in so many countries, I hope that viewers leave many comments on the app to know their opinion,” explains the director.

Elena sleeping It is a short film full of art, not only for its theme, but also for the paintings that are part of the set and the main poster, donated by the hyperrealist painter Plata Ruiz. “I want to thank the artist's contribution and the participation of all the collaborators who made this project possible, especially the Valladolid City Council,” says Vallejo.

The app also contains extra material such as photographs from the filming, additional information and other short films by the author: The Irishman, Uncle Itsban, Sepia Man, The War of Emancipation, The Chestnut Tree of Valladolid y How is the world Fermín.
