Broadcast Pix presents Vox Lite, a new proposal for voice control in small productions
Little sister of the popular Vox solution, this proposal eliminates the need for an operator for live productions, since its sophisticated software detects which microphone is in use by combining the selection of cameras.
Broadcast Pix has just launched Vox Lite, a small-scale version of its solution for automating production processes through the use of voice. Like its “big sister,” Vox Lite will work with any Flint, Granite or Mica mixer.
Since its introduction in 2011, Vox has become a popular solution for visual radio automation, meeting rooms or low-cost program streaming. Vox and Vox Lite eliminate the need for an operator for live productions, as their sophisticated software detects which microphone is in use by combining camera selection with automatic audio tracking.
Using the power of a built-in Fluent Macros feature, Vox Lite can also add or remove graphics, animations, run PiP composites, and incorporate information from external data sources like Twitter to create an engaging visual experience. Multiple macros can be assigned to each microphone to create a varied selection of cameras and graphics. Conditions can be set to prevent, for example, coughing or for a keyword to trigger a camera change.
Both models feature a hardware interface with a 1RU junction box. Vox features eight microphone inputs, allowing several systems to be connected in cascade to support up to 104 microphones. Vox Lite supports four microphones. Both versions include control software for robotic cameras from Panasonic or Sony.
