Netflix begins the distribution of content in Ultra HD 4K
For now, Netflix will begin its 4K offering with the production House of Cards.
The popular VoD platform, Netflix, has started distributing content in Ultra HD 4K. For now, this experience can only be enjoyed on Samsung UH8550 and UH9000 televisions, but soon it will also be seen on Sony, LG and Vizio equipment.
Of course, the company recommends having available bandwidth of at least 20 Mbps, since streaming Netflix in 4K will consume about 16 Mbps to which a safety margin should be added for service fluctuations.
For now, Netflix will begin its 4K offering with production House of cards. Later this year, he hopes to add Breaking Bad and other original productions on offer.
Netflix announced that as more content producers change and produce more in Ultra High Definition, as well as mastering in this format advances, it will offer more options at high resolution 3840x2160 and up to 60 frames per second.
