Brazil and Spain host the filming of 'The Pilgrim: the best story of Paulo Coelho'
The film is co-produced between Brazil and Spain, by Carolina Kotscho and Iôna de Macêdo (Dama Filmes) and Angélica Huete (Babel Films) and is scheduled for release in the first half of 2014.
Brazil and Spain are the locations chosen for the filming of The pilgrim: the best story of Paulo Coelho, a fiction feature film about the life of the famous writer. Filming, which began on April 23 in Rio de Janeiro, is now on the Camino de Santiago and will end in Compostela in the first days of July.
Based on statements by the author himself to the screenwriter Carolina Kotscho, The Pilgrim: The Best Story of Paulo Coelho is directed by Daniel Augusto and features performances by Ravel and Júlio Andrade, who alternate in the role of young Paulo and adult Paulo, Fabiana Gugli (Christina Oiticica), Nancho Novo (Jay) and Paz Vega (Luiza). The cast also stars Brazilian actors Enrique Diaz, Fabíula Nascimento, Leticia Colin and Lucci Ferreira.
