The fifth season of the adventure series set in the 17th century, the most watched on television since 2005, returns to TVE on May 6.

Red Eagle, the series produced by Globomedia for TVE returns to the screens of La 1 on May 6.

During the presentation of the season in the studios where the series is recorded, Fernando López Puig, director of Fiction at TVE, highlighted that “Spanish Television continues to bet on quality series, continues to bet on entertainment and public service, and Red Eagle meets all those conditions. It is a series that has a spectacular audience because it has great quality.” For his part, Daniel Écija, creator and executive producer of the series, has pointed out that “it is a series that has set a trend, which speaks of how mature our industry is, and it is great news that Spanish Television is committed to producing fiction made in Spain, made by people from here, for people from here.”

In its long-awaited return, the period adventure series maintains the hallmarks and high production quality that have made it the audience's favorite: palace intrigues, spectacular action scenes, filming in historically beautiful and passionate settings. love stories, all accompanied by a powerful mystery plot that seeks to discover the true origins of the protagonist. A fictional portrait of the Kingdom of Spain in the 17th century that dazzled 30% of the audience in its last installment.
Gladiators, exotic animals, medieval tournaments, indigenous people, serial murders, inquisitorial torture, enigmatic nobles and members of the clergy... The series expands its characters and plots, many of which have been filmed in settings of great historical value, such as the Monastery of El Escorial, the Alcázar of Segovia or the Roman ruins of Segóbriga in Cuenca.

Red Eagle has broken audience records since its premiere in February 2009. You have to go back to 2005 to find a Spanish series that surpasses the data collected by this fiction, which has led 100% of its broadcasts, a total of 51. This series Period Adventures concluded its fourth season in January 2012 with an average of 5,798,000 viewers and a 29.3% audience share.

His script, direction and performance have been recognized with the most important television awards.
