During MWC 2013, tests are being carried out with T2-Lite signals transmitted through channel 22 including two PLPs.
As part of the Nuclis CAT.T2 project, Promax is present these days at the Mobile World Congress in Barcelona supporting the DVB-T2 Lite standard.
The main objective of the project is to study and promote the benefits of using DVB-T2 technology in mobile applications through a modification of the DVB-T2 standard, under the name T2-Lite.
At Mobile World Congress, Promax is introducing the HD Ranger+ field meter, the first of its kind that is capable of effectively receiving, measuring and demodulating T2-Lite signals.
T2-Lite signals will be transmitted during the congress using channel 22. The multiplex includes two PLPs. (PLP1, dedicated to mobile TV reception. Contains a standard definition program with 1.5 Mbps in H.264 and PLP 0 used for Ultra High Definition television tests and requires 35 Mbps).
