A total of 40 antennas and 70 beltpacks in Prado del Rey and Torrespaña ensure coverage with the highest quality in practically all of its facilities. A Clear-Com Eclipse digital matrix, together with FreeSpeak integrated systems, has contributed to improving the workflow at Spanish Television.

Spanish Television has launched a FreeSpeak wireless intercom system at its headquarters in Prado del Rey and Torrespaña. Clear-com. The configuration of the two independent networks for each headquarters and the systems that comprise a total of 40 antennas and 70 FreeSpeak bodypacks has been carried out by QinMedia.

This configuration ensures that all staff have quick access to communications with total reliability since coverage covers practically all areas of Torrespaña and Prado del Rey.

On the other hand, a Clear-Com Eclipse digital matrix, together with the integrated FreeSpeak systems, has contributed to improving the workflow in this broadcaster.

The system operates without the need for a license in the 1.88 to 1.93 GHz band allowing interconnection in all major production areas, with its antennas dispersed throughout the facilities to maximize wireless coverage. In addition, FreeSpeak combines wireless DECT and automatic roaming technologies to allow users to move freely around the premises in full quality without losing the connection between team members.

José María Álvarez González, general director of QinMedia, has assured that “TVE has an extensive programming schedule, which requires wireless intercom systems that respond to the frenetic pace of this production environment. Thanks to its ease of integration with other third-party systems, the Eclipse-based FreeSpeak system has been a powerful intercom solution, especially because it is scalable and can be quickly programmed. Additionally, FreeSpeak provides fully reliable wireless coverage for all network channels, including its 24-hour news channel.”

For his part, Richard Palmer, Regional Sales Director for Southern Europe and Africa at Clear-Com, highlights that “Clear-Com understands the needs of large and complex broadcasting operations such as TVE. These operations cannot afford any downtime, especially if it is caused by a lost communication. Clear-Com's Eclipse FreeSpeak, as with all of the company's products, has been designed to be ultra-reliable."
