Building on the premise that today's landscape of media convergence offers many new opportunities for media organizations of all types, scales and business models, Harris Broadcast Communications will be showcasing solutions for different environments at IBC 2012.

Today's landscape of media convergence offers many new opportunities for media organizations of all types, scales, and business models. To take advantage of the opportunities, these organizations must focus on new models without forgetting traditional dissemination. At IBC2012, Harris Broadcast Communications will present the latest advances, tools and technologies that allow content and media to be distributed through any distribution channel at the most appropriate cost.

Harris has a complete end-to-end workflow prepared for today's reality and tomorrow's challenges arising from the pervasiveness of broadband. Harris' goal is for media companies and broadcasters to be able to deploy 3DTV, 3Gb/s, HD and baseband/broadband operations easily and cost-effectively.

Over-The-Top (OTT) television will be a key element at this year's IBC, and Harris will emphasize the relevance of its technology to this business model, from baseband infrastructure and file-based processing to compression and networking, as well as the commercialization of non-linear spaces and programming traffic systems. In an industry that is constantly evolving, Harris' enterprise asset management solutions ensure broadcasters maximize revenue across both traditional and emerging business models.

Richard Scott, Senior Vice President of Global Sales and Services, Harris Broadcast Communications, said: "In today's changing world, broadcasters need to know the perfect partner to accompany them in these new challenges. Harris is unique in terms of the breadth of our technology solutions combined with the ability to integrate our systems alongside third-party solutions."

"With our position in the market, we not only have a responsibility to supply the technology, but also to take the lead in thinking about where our industry is headed and what is the lowest-risk route to get where our customers want to go. At IBC, we will demonstrate that we have both the proven technology and integrated vision that our customers need to thrive and survive in this dynamic market," concluded Scott.

At IBC2012, Harris will also demonstrate new products, features and applications in many of its core areas of expertise in broadcast and production, including servers, storage and editing, routers and multi-display, signal processing, streaming, video solutions, headend automation and digital asset management, OB trucks, workflow improvement solutions and test and measurement systems.
