New Glensound commentator position
The British Glensound will debut at NAB 2012 the Express Box position for two commentators that offers basic functions, but with high levels of quality. It will also show the GS-MPITBU telephone hybrid.
Aware that on many occasions commentators require advanced functions and a lot of flexibility in their positions, but that on many other occasions, basic functions are enough for them, although with the same levels of quality, the British Glensound The position for two Express Box commentators will debut at NAB 2012.
It offers two identical commentary positions, each with its own mic input with selectable 48V phantom power and a compressor/limiter. The Express Box offers two common intercom circuits available to each commentator, along with 4 common inputs and a local control for headphone monitoring. Each commentator can make their own mix based on these 5 entries.
This equipment also has a program output and direct output from both microphones. It also has a 7 LED PPM vumeter.
GS-MPITBU
At NAB 2012 we will also see the GS-MPITBU telephone hybrid. Housed in a 1U 19” rack, it has hybrid digital POTS along with the GS-MPI005 mobile phone for broadcasters.
The GS-MPI005 allows you to work with 2G GSM networks and since its audio is RF shielded, it is not affected by radio frequency interference from the antenna. It also has controls for input and output level.
The hybrid digital part of the system is a very high quality system offering up to -76dB of separation with input/output and hook/off hook level controls.
The GS-MPITBU allows two audio connection options in a single 1U 19” rack. Both can remain connected, so that one can act as a redundant for the other in case of failure.
An upgrade option is also available for HD Voice that allows for 7kHz audio links where possible.
