Canon adds the XEED WUX5000 projector to its range of installation projectors
The WUX5000 supports three different lenses: a standard zoom lens for most typical installations, a telephoto zoom lens for larger environments, and a wide-angle monofocal lens that can be used for rear projection applications.
Canon today announced the latest addition to its range of high-performance XEED projectors. The WUX5000 offers 5,000 lumens of brightness along with a variety of Canon lens options and features to make setup as easy as possible. The WUX5000 provides exceptionally high image quality, making it ideal for a wide variety of corporate, educational, commercial and entertainment environments.
The WUX5000 supports three different lenses: a standard zoom lens for most typical installations, a telephoto zoom lens for larger environments, and a wide-angle monofocal lens that can be used for rear projection applications. All lenses are also interchangeable with the WUX4000.
Leveraging Canon's 70 years of experience at the forefront of lens design, all three lenses offer image sizes between 40 and 600 inches, a maximum throw distance of 48.5 meters, and virtually no reduction in brightness, even when using Powerful zoom or wide-angle single vision lens options. With 5,000 lumens of “true color brightness,” colors appear almost as bright as white, crucial for maximum impact from photos and video content.
In addition to superior lens design, the WUX5000 also includes cutting-edge technology within the projector to deliver exceptional optical quality. LCOS panels, combined with WUXGA resolution, provide sharp images without the “grid” and rainbow effects that often occur with competing projection technologies. Additionally, Canon's exclusive AISYS (Aspectual Illumination System) advanced optical technology maximizes the performance of LCOS panels, delivering simultaneously high levels of brightness and contrast, while Canon's color matching technology delivers images that closely resemble those of a professionally calibrated sRGB monitor.
The WUX5000 combines high performance with ease of use thanks to the motorized lens shift function, which allows the installer to adjust the position of the screen using the projector's control panel or remote control. Images can be adjusted to within 0.5 pixels both vertically and horizontally, essential in multi-projector installations where images overlap, such as 3D, stacked or mixed systems. This also allows a single person to easily set up the projector and then make final adjustments from the ground using the remote control.
Versatility
The WUX5000 provides maximum versatility through 360-degree projection, allowing images to be projected on the floor or ceiling. Thanks to this feature, the device is particularly suitable for custom-made installations, such as those in museums, visitor information centers or theater auditoriums.
As Canon assures, the company has taken advantage of its long history in developing lenses to expand its variety of high-end XEED projectors. As a result of this experience, the WUX5000 offers Canon's excellent image quality, true-to-color brilliance and installation features that are typically not available in competing products at this price level.
