Bart Palmer, new CTO at GlobeCast Americas

Bart Palmer will be responsible for establishing the company's technical vision and leadership.

GlobeCast Americas has announced the appointment of Bart Palmer as the company's CTO effective January 2, 2012. Palmer will report to GlobeCast CEO Lisa Coelho and will play an integral role in leading the company with responsibility for setting the vision. company including the management, implementation and development of GlobeCast technical facilities, as well as satellite and terrestrial infrastructure.

Palmer joins GlobeCast from Discovery Communications, where he was most recently senior vice president of engineering. With more than three decades of experience, Palmer has held leadership positions at companies such as Liberty Sports, Fox Sports and MediaComm, and was part of the team that launched Home Sports Entertainment.
