Sony has presented at ShowEast the latest developments in its comprehensive digital cinema solutions for projection rooms: an innovative accessibility technology for the blind and hearing impaired that includes glasses for viewing subtitles and an audio receiver.

The prototype, which will be called Entertainment Access Technology, includes specially designed glasses and a receiver that allows blind people to use headphones to listen to action description cues. People with hearing problems can use the glasses to see dialogue subtitles and fully enjoy the movie session. The subtitle system is available in 6 languages ​​and works through a wireless transmitter.

The product will soon arrive in projection rooms and expands the extensive catalog of tools that Sony makes available to exhibitors to facilitate the transition to an entirely digital environment.
