Félix Murcia will teach an official master's degree in artistic direction at the CECDL
The Ciudad de la Luz Study Center has incorporated into its training offer the Official Master in Artistic Direction for Film and Television coordinated by the prestigious film professional who has been awarded the Goya for Best Artistic Direction five times.
Aimed at students of architecture, fine arts, theatrical scenography, interior design, audiovisual communication and those interested in this specialty, the Ciudad de la Luz Study Center has incorporated the Official Master in Artistic Direction for Film and Television into its training offer. This degree will be coordinated by one of the main references of this discipline in the national and international audiovisual panorama: Félix Murcia.
This prestigious artistic director began by chance working in the set design department of a television station in Holland, from there he moved to TVE in 1966, where he remained for 14 years and had the opportunity to learn all the crafts of set design: carpentry, painting, plaster and modeling. During this stage he complemented his training with studies in Interior Architecture, Applied Arts, Scenography and Higher Design at the School of Decorative Arts of Madrid.
With the help of Manuel Gutiérrez Aragón he made the leap to cinema as Art Director of the film The heart of the forest. Since then to date, he has worked as an Artistic Director on important titles in Spanish cinematography and has been awarded the Goya for Best Artistic Direction five times for his work on: Dragon Rapide (1987), The stunned king (1992), Tyrant Flags (1994), The manger dog (1997) y Secrets of the heart (1998). Furthermore, in 1999 he was awarded the National Cinematography Award. With this award, the Ministry of Education and Culture wanted to honor his brilliant professional career.
The new Official Master's Degree in Artistic Direction for Film and Television consists of 120 credits and is structured around four modules: Methods and resources in artistic and audiovisual expression, audiovisual production, artistic theory and the final Master's work.

In addition, the Ciudad de la Luz Study Center, starting next year, will also offer the Official Master's Degree in Editing and Postproduction and the Degree in Executive Production of Fiction for Film and Television.
The Master's program in Editing and Postproduction is distributed in two areas of knowledge: Theory and Technique of Editing and knowledge of professional editing and postproduction tools. Pablo Más Serrano, coordinator of this Master, has been an editor in different series and films and is currently working on the editing of the latest film by filmmaker Mariano Barroso, The best of Eva.
The degree in Executive Production of Fiction for Film and TV is aimed at all those interested in this specialty and has an academic duration of 600 hours, distributed over a course. This degree is coordinated by Alejandro Gómez Lavilla and Alejandra Balsa.
Alejandro Gómez Lavilla has extensive professional and teaching experience in the area of executive production; Among others, he has held the position of Director of Programming at Telecinco, as well as Head of Development and New Projects and Production Design at Editorial 7, Zeppelín TV and Sagrera Audiovisual. Currently, he is Director of Content at Miramar Estudios. Alejandra Balsa is currently Executive Producer of Fiction for Sagrera. In addition to her, throughout her professional life she has held, among others, the positions of: Head of Fiction Content at Telecinco, Director of Content at BocaBoca and Telespan, and Director of Fiction Content at Telespan.
This degree is added to the existing ones in Film Direction, coordinated by the filmmaker Mariano Barroso, Photography Direction, by Jesús Haro, Editing and Editing, by Pablo Más Serrano, and Dramatic Art, by Laura Notario.
