New Makito encoders with support for Haivision's Zixi Ready

Dramatically reducing high-definition video streaming costs, the popular Makito low-latency H.264 encoder now supports the Zixi suite of high-quality HD video remote streaming and services.

Haivision today announced that it has collaborated with Zixi LLC to integrate Zixi technology directly into its low-latency H.264 encoders and decoders, such as the Makito. Zixi allows you to broadcast high-quality HD video content over low-cost public Internet connections. Makito, Haivision's star encoder, is an ultra-compact device, easy to configure and use that now improves its functionality thanks to the incorporation of the Zixi package.

Zixi overcomes the specific challenges of IP streaming through advanced video synchronization and error recovery technology that accommodates packet loss and end-to-end latency issues associated with public networks like the Internet. Zixi also offers Internet services to distribute full HD television (1080p/60fps) to multiple destinations simultaneously, including Makito Decoders with Zixi support and popular players with Zixi Client software.
