PMD 661, the new portable recorder from Marantz
This portable device allows audio recording and playback directly to SD/SDHC memory cards and supports MP3/WAV.

Marantz Professional has launched a new professional portable recorder for radio and broadcast environments. The most notable thing is that it uses SD/SHDC memory cards, recording in MP3/WAV formats, presenting a selectable sampling frequency between 44.1, 48 and 96 Khz. It has two balanced L/R mic/line inputs (XLR) with 48V phantom power, an S/PDIF digital input and a stereo line output (RCA). In addition, it has a built-in microphone and speaker. Transcription playback functions including pitch control and skip back are user definable and include new PMD Mark Editor software. Thanks to a USB 2.0 connection it allows file transfer. Includes power supply, and can operate with batteries (4-AA).
