Doremi's innovative proposals at IBC'09
Doremi Technologies, one of the great references today in servers for high-level applications in digital cinema and television, continues to expand its range of solutions, presenting at IBC'09 new versions of its products capable of working with video with and without compression with formats up to 4K.
At IBC'09, Doremi will show solutions for digital cinema such as the DCP-2000 server, the most used with JPEG 2000 DCI formats. There are currently about 7,800 rooms with DCP-2000 servers around the world, which would represent 80% of the 2K market. Since last year, Doremi has introduced 3D support for RealD EQ, in addition to Dolby 3D Digital Cinema, to its popular server.
It is also worth noting that Doremi has integrated Media Block technology for DLP into its 4K servers, especially thinking about Texas Instruments and its OEM series II projectors for 2K and 4K. This proposal arises from intense work carried out together with the Texas Instruments team to guarantee full compatibility of the IMB with the next generation TI electronics.
Doremi will also be showcasing its expanded range of 3D products in Amsterdam, including the V1 HD-2K, GHX-3D, DSV-J2 and NuggetPro. It is noteworthy that Doremi is one of the first hardware manufacturers to have integrated JPEG2000 compression and the possibilities of stereoscopy into a wide range of solutions.
Another proposal that we will see at IBC'09 is version 3.13 of CineAsset, its solution that allows converting any format such as QuickTime, AVI, JPEG or TIFF to JPEG2000, decrypting MXF, for projection from any Doremi server including DCP-2000, DCP-2K4 and DSV-J2. The new version includes conversion and rescaling from RGB to X'Y'Z'. This line of solutions that allow material to be imported for projection also includes DoremiAM, which allows the conversion of formats such as NTSC, PAL, 720p, 1080i, 1080p and 2K.
