France 24 acquires three Studer Vista 5
The 24-hour news channel broadcast in French, English and Arabic, and soon in Spanish, acquires three Vista 5 consoles.
France 24, a channel launched in December 2006, which broadcasts continuous information in French, English and Arabic (it will soon also broadcast in Spanish) has decided to replace three of its on-air consoles with three Vista 5 consoles by Studer.
With the complexity involved in a multilingual broadcast, France 24 has relied on the French installer Audiopole for the integration of these three new consoles equipped with a Vistonics touchscreen and the new SCore Live DSP platform. In addition, the small size of these extremely compact tables made them ideal for a small space. Each of the consoles features a dozen mic inputs, 32 line inputs, 40 analog outputs, and 32 AES inputs/outputs. Analogue line inputs are used for telephone connections from the Studer Call Management System (France 24 was the first French channel to install the CMS) as well as for translation booths. AES inputs/outputs are used to connect to video servers.
Vista 5 allows France 24 to work simultaneously with 32 sources at any time. This allows the operator in front of the View to have everything under control during live and multi-language broadcasts.
