iTX omnibus for Internet TV and streaming applications
OmniBus Systems incorporates new tools for Internet TV and streaming in its iTX media automation and management solution.
The new version 1.3 of iTX that we can see at IBC'09 already includes new tools for streaming and Internet TV as autonomous operation or as an extension to traditional television channels. Already installed in some of the most innovative Internet content providers, iTX is an ideal platform for providers seeking total flexibility without the high installation and operation costs associated with traditional technologies. iTX offers all the Internet TV capabilities that providers need including video and audio in transitions, logo... It also allows you to create additional income by allowing the insertion of advertising. Additionally, by working with format independent and bit-rate-agnostic, ITX allows broadcasters to mix both media formats and resolutions at the same time.
Compressed video files such as MPEG-2, MPEG-4 (H.264), DV25/50 and Windows Media, as well as MXF and QuickTime, can be decoded by the iTX during transmission. In this way we can have HD, SD and lower bit rate broadcasting mixed into a single program and the signal automatically converted by the ITX system itself.
ITX is the first solution that provides a full-featured, high-quality Internet TV platform, allowing providers to address needs such as replacing Internet advertising with respect to television channels, replacing content that does not have rights for the Internet and alteration or replacement of graphic elements for different screens
