8TV, throughout Catalonia

8Tv, the private Catalan television, now broadcasts its DTT signal through 65 Abertis Telecom broadcasting centers, thus achieving coverage of 95% of the population in practically all of Catalonia.

Thanks to Abertis Telecom's 65 broadcasting centers plus another 160 broadcasters included within the Encesa Sincrònica and Catalunya Connecta plans promoted by the Generalitat of Catalonia, 8Tv, the new private television in Catalonia, now reaches 95% of the population and practically the entire territory. 8Tv shares the multiplex with Barça TV and 105TV, channels with identical coverage. The channels to tune into this multiplex are: Barcelona 33 UHF, Tarragona 51 UHF, Girona 36 UHF and Lleida 53 UHF.

Regarding its audience, 8 Tv closed the month of June, according to TN Sofres, with a screen share of 4% and one and a half million daily viewers. During the first half of 2009 it surpassed Canal 33, doubling its audience last June. TVE's La 2 has also been surpassed by 8Tv.

Family entertainment, with series and movies, mainly, make up 8Tv's offer.
