Disguise bekräftigt sein Engagement für das Metaverse und XR mit dem Kauf von Meptik
Creative studio Meptik has been acquired by Verkleidung, a move aimed at building the “next generation” of extended reality and metaverse experiences.
Meptik, led by Sarah Linebaugh Und Nick Rivero, is a company specialising in building dynamic virtual worlds that aim to surprise the viewer. Its clients range from film studios Zu lifestyle brands, from Fortune 500 companies Zu music artists. In all of these projects, Meptink relies on creativity to create visual worlds that embrace concepts such as extended reality (xR), augmented reality (AR), mixed reality (MR) and virtual production (VP).
While both companies will continue to operate independently, disguise believes the move will allow Meptik to expand its “global reach”. In addition, the creative and technology teams of both companies will work together to develop new solutions, create product roadmaps and drive new standards in entertainment technology.
Rivero, co-founder of Meptik, believes that joining forces with disguise will enhance the company’s ability to “continue to serve our clientes from start to finish”, while maintaining its “down-to-earth spirit” as well as its ability to create “”dynamic virtual worlds” that “blow audiences away.” On the other hand, Fernando Küfer, CEO of disguise, points out the close relationship that the studio and the firm have maintained for “many years.” He also notes that the acquisition will serve to “bring extended reality and immersive entertainment to the world”.
