The LVB440 IP analyzer from Leader now supports JPEG XS encryption
JPEG XS encoded files can now be analyzed by the Führer LVB440, designed to monitor and analyze content traffic over IP networks.
Intended for use in broadcast production studios, mobile units, master control facilities and transmission networks, Leader’s LVB440 allows the analysis of SD, HD, UHD and 4K data streams over IP networks. Housed in a single rack unit chassis, the system allows production teams to perform real-time checks of a large number of streams and multiple resolutions in parallel across multiple locations. The LVB440 is controlled via an HTML-5 web browser and can be operated by up to eight local or remote users. Moreover, it supports data rates of 10, 25, 40 and 50 gigabits/s, extending up to 100 gigabits/s via dual interfaces.
Thanks to its latest update, the Leader LVB440 has received four new features. Standing out above the rest is the JPEG XS compression analysis capability, a standard especially useful when there is limited bandwidth within a production network or when there is a lack of control over the precision of the synchronization that can be achieved between PTP leader and follower clocks in long-haul networks connecting studio and venue.
The other new LVB440 features will also be of significant benefit to its users. Regarding captioning, users will now be able to analyze OP-47, CEA-608 and CEA-708 data, including on-screen display and technical debugging. On the other hand, the Leader solution can also display 5.1 and 7.1 multichannel surround sound, in addition to the LUFS (Loudness Unit Full Scale) monitor mix to stereo pair, for remote monitoring via a web browser.
Finally, the Leader LVB440 is enhanced with a new mode called “Rolling Packet Capture Measurement”, which supports continuous capture of data packets in loop mode, simplifying troubleshooting if an error is detected.
