Valsoft Aspire VSN

The Spanish company VSN has been acquired by the Canadian company Valsoft, which enters with this move in the broadcast and media vertical.

Headquartered in Terrassa, Barcelona, VSN offers solutions for media management, production, planning, multiplatform content delivery, and broadcast and publishing across linear and non-linear channels. The acquisition of VSN places Aspire Software (an operating group of Valsoft) in a new vertical and strengthens its presence in Spain.

VSN’s founder and CEO, Jordi Utiel, will remain with the company to ensure a “smooth” transition. Likewise, the global management team will continue to lead the business and drive its products and the company into the future. Utiel calls this new stage with Valsoft “a great opportunity for VSN”.”We are excited about the strategic projection that Valsoft will bring us, expanding and consolidating our international expansion and drawing a new horizon for VSN in the broadcast and media sector”, he emphasizes.

One of Valsoft’s main pillars is to invest in consolidated entities and foster a business environment that allows an organization to grow as a leader in its respective industry. Valsoft is not a private equity or venture capital organization. Its goal is to grow organizations sustainably, through long-term partnerships with local management.

Second Spanish company in Aspire

With this acquisition, VSN becomes the second Spanish-based company to join the Aspire family, the first being Telematel. By joining Aspire Software, VSN expects to strengthen its global expansion efforts.

Michael Assi, CEO of Aspire Software, part of Valsoft, is “thrilled” to enter the broadcast and media sector, and to partner “with an industry leader that delivers innovative solutions to top-tier global customers.” “We are impressed by VSN’s value proposition and the customer-focused culture that Jordi and his team have built over the past decades,” concludes Assi.

Valsoft was represented internally by David Felicissimo, legal counsel, and Pamela Romero, paralegal. On the other hand, VSN was represented by Isabel Gandoy, partner at the law firm Cuatrecasas.
