تضيف Avid ميزات جديدة إلى Stream IO، وهو حل الإنتاج القائم على الاشتراك
The creation of playlists and support for new codecs are among the main new features of متعطشا Stream IO, a subscription-based ingest and playout platform.
متعطشا, seeking to improve the performance of its client environments, has doubled the channel count of Avid Stream IO to offer up to eight channels in a single system, while maintaining the flexibility to configure inputs and outputs freely. In addition to increasing the channel count, content teams can create media playlists ready for playback during production directly from the remote web console. A backup functionality accompanies this new feature to guarantee the playout of programs in the event of a failure of the playout automation processes.
Avid Stream IO will also receive other enhancements that its users have widely requested, such as the ability to include closed captioning for ingest and playout, and support for AVC-LongG12 and 25 formats. For Tim Claman, Chief Product Officer at Avid, these enhancements represent the company’s “drive” to enable its customers to “stay ahead of the increasing demand to accelerate the delivery of quality news, sports and live entertainment content.”
Stream IO is a subscription-based solution ready to run on COTS hardware. With a flexible architecture that can be configured to ingest or playout SDI streams today and, in the future, various IP-based formats, Avid’s development allows production teams to migrate from legacy workflows and local deployment to cloud and IP workflows as required by the broadcaster at any given time. On the horizon for the solution are SRT / RTMP compressed streams, which are “coming soon,” as well as NDI and SMPTE 2110 integration by the end of 2024.
