Matrox Maevex 6152

The Maevex 6152 quad-4K and Maevex 6122 dual-4K encoders expand the Matrox portfolio dedicated to ultra high-definition content management.

Both new Matrox Maevex feature multi-4Kp60 4:4:4 capture with zero-latency pass-through and the ability to simultaneously deliver multiple 4K streams and recordings. Equipped with multiple streaming protocols (including HLS, MPEG2-TS, RTP, RTMP, RTSP and SRT), HDCP 2.2 support and complementary SDKs and APIs, the encoders are designed to deliver audiovisual content in all types of mission-critical environments.

Maevex H.264 encoders are capable of delivering “secure, high-density” encoding of up to four 4Kp30 streams, two 4Kp60 or many more streams and lower resolution recordings over LAN, WAN and the Internet.

While the new Maevex 6152 quad-4K and Maevex 6122 dual-4K have the same dimensions (half rack unit) of their previous generation of encoders (Maevex 6100 Series), the devices now include an LCD display and six buttons to enable setup, streaming and recording operations directly on the hardware. Furthermore, the included PowerStream Plus software allows users to centrally manage all Maevex devices, as well as their transmissions and recordings. Of course, Maevex’s complementary APIs and SDKs allow developers to create new applications or integrate PowerStream Plus functionality into existing applications.

Ron Berty, Matrox Video business development manager, summarizes the key benefits of the Maevex: “The new Matrox Maevex 6152 and 6122 encoders offer breakthrough image quality by allowing 4Kp60 desktop operators to run video- and graphics-intensive content and applications in their native resolutions.”

“Along with HDCP support and Maevex 6100 Series’ industry-renowned encoding capabilities, the new game-changing encoders deliver video anywhere, anytime—whether it’s on local operator desks or over standard LAN connections, limited WAN pipelines, and noisy or unpredictable internet networks,” adds Berty.
